    Did anybody else…
Get an almost junior-varsity team feeling off the Atlantis team during this episode?
Don’t get me wrong, I like the show and the team, especially since Ford is gone, but I never clued in until Friday night, what steps the writers take to make Shepard’s team not an SG-1 carbon-copy. Granted they do have Teal’C-Lite Carter’s whiny little sister… But its a very different dynamic.

Take next weeke’s ep, where Shepard is apologizing in the previews. Has O’Neil ever apologoized for shooting any othe rmembers of SG-1(when the situation warranted it, that is)?

That was in Phantoms, which aired before The Return. The latter part of this season of Atlantis seems really good so far. My problem is mostly that there hasn’t really been any development of the Tayla character as much as McKay and Shepard.

All good adventurers need a native tracker/warrior in their team. Be they Tonto, Worf, Teal’c or Chewbacca. They bring the dirt-sniffing goodness you need for a sucessfull jungle run.
