Finally, the pick of the week. I don’t usually report of music releases, but I’m making and exception for Live: Apocalyptica. This is an underappreciated Finnish group that performs everything from original work to Metallica covers to classical works on four cellos. The official site for the group is here, if you want to check them out. I highly recommend them, particularly their cover of Grieg’s “Hall of the Mountain King.” I don’t know if they’re that compelling in concert, as cellos aren’t particularly portable, but the music itself will be great.
