The first episode was mostly exposition, which is to be expected. There’s potential there for the show to be solidly entertaining. Personally, I’m going to reserve judgement until a couple more episodes have aired so I can get a feel for where the story is going.
I may watch it for Ian Somerhalder, but thought it very disappointing, lacking any hint of substance, merely using revenge and jealousy as a vehicle for effects and modeling…
I agree. It was very slow and disappointing.
But getting cheap publicity.
My wife watched it and agreed with vanyel about watching it for Ian Somerhalder.
What gets me is just how many people are calling it a Twilight ripoff who probably were not even born yet when the books this was based on were published.
