Demon With A Glass Hand

Harlan Ellison has, of course, been writing kickass SF for, it seems, forever. He wrote for Star Trek, and consulted on Babylon 5. In 1964, he wrote an episode of the original Outer Limits called “Demon With A Glass Hand,” which went on to win a Writers Guild award.

Anyway, Dimension Films has bought the rights to make “Demon” into a movie. Way to go, Harlan.

Seven’s Stalker To Stand Trial

A judge ordered a man to stand trial for allegedly stalking “Star Trek Voyager” star Jeri Ryan.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Alan Ellis ruled Wednesday that there was sufficient to order Marlon Pagtakhan, 22, to stand trial on five counts, including stalking and extortion.

Blair Witch 3 Planned

LOS ANGELES (AP) — There will be a third “Blair Witch” movie, despite
lackluster interest in last fall’s second installment of the horror
franchise.

Artisan Entertainment plans to go ahead with a “Blair Witch” prequel,
said Amir Malin, who heads the independent distributor that acquired “The

Rendezvous with Rama Movie Coming in 2003

theangrymob writes, You can check out some the production sketches of
the movie, based on Arthur C. Clarke’s masterpiece, at http://www.rendezvouswithrama.com.
Nothing really concrete, but it’s an exciting prospect.

Morgan Freeman looks to be attached to star. Freeman is no stranger to
Clarke’s work, starring in 1998’s Deep Impact (based on Clarke’s ‘Hammer
of God’).

The director, for now, is David Fincher. His past credits include: Fight
Club, Seven (which starred Morgan Freeman), The Game, and Alien 3. He
seems to have a gift for suspense (perfect for this movie), let’s just
hope he leaves Brad Pitt out of it.

Eye Candy: The X-Case

If you’re reading this, it’s pretty likely you’ve got a computer. The geeks at OCIA have assembled a collection of modded, overclocked, and otherwise warranty-voided computers, including the X-Files Case (complete with Fox Mulder action figure). The page may take a while to load, as it’s got plenty of big pictures on it, but the X-Case alone is worth the wait.

It’s A Spidey Kinda Weekend

I really wish someone would’ve told me about this earlier — the short-lived, but really nifty, “Spider-Man Unlimited” animated series came back to TV this morning on FOX. And the movie starts filming on Monday, even though it’s not currently slated to hit theaters until May 2002, according to this report from the big Y.
