We get our first look at the final two films in the series. Have to say…looks damn good. As a bonus, I’ve also got Predators which I seem to have missed when it first rolled out.

Bureau42-Cast – Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince Roundtable
Well then, there have been murmurs, plans, and plottings backstage until finally, Fiziko, Matt, and I saw (in our respective countries) “Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince”, and decided to talk about it together on Gizmo (after we couldn’t quite get it recorded on Skype), and now record it. Thus, you, you lucky, lucky devils you, get to listen to it!
EDIT: One other little thing – if you have any constructive criticism or topic suggestions, please feel free to post those in the comments so we can get some topic ideas, or just generally work to make the next installment better.
Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
The penultimate novel in the Harry Potter series hits the big screen in the US. The kids are older, the stakes are higher.
Does the movie live up to the hype?
Book Review: Tales of Beedle the Bard
Not generating nearly the buzz that the last Harry Potter book brought about, J.K. Rowling has released a short book with five short stories as mentioned in the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Proceeds from the book’s sale are being donated to the Children’s High Level Group.

Potter VI Delayed till July
News that is going to really, REALLY, piss off my wife: Warner Brothers announced today that the next installment of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will be delayed over half a year to July 17, 2009
Warner cites two main reasons: First, that they’ll make more money (they used fancier terms) and second that the writers strike has everything backed up.

“Tales of Beedle The Bard” available for pre-order
As mentioned last December, one copy of JK Rowling’s handwritten book of fairy tales sold for nearly two million pounds. Fortunately, we can get it slightly cheaper now… The standard edition is available for pre-order now, at seven dollars and change; even the fancy collectors’ edition, dolled up to look like something from the Hogwarts library, is a meager $100.

Deathly Hallows to be Broken into Two Movies
Something to make Harry Potter fans (especially the purists) very happy: The final book will be made into two films, tentatively titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.
According to David Yates, the director, the other books had compartmentalized subplots that were easy to excise. Book 7 lacks the subplots and is all main story.
Release dates are set for November 2010 and May 2011 for each film.
Tales of Beedle the Bard goes for nearly $4 Million
Yeah, I thought about it, but it was a bit over my Christmas budget.
Anywho, Amazon.com was the lucky one, scoring the handwritten copy (the only one available to the public) for £1,950,000. They have pictures and a review of the first story (The Wizard and the Hopping Pot) here. The proceeds went to charity, The Children’s Voice campaign
