New 52 Review – “Detective Comics #1”
Action was the longest running U.S. comic, starring Superman from the first issue on. Detective was the second longest running, and has been starring Batman since issue #27 from 1939. Detective actually started first, but Action got ahead in the numbering after it ran weekly for over 40 weeks in the 1990s. This relaunch is all about Batman and the Joker.
New 52 Review – “Batwing #1”
One of the franchised Bat heroes operates out of Africa.
New 52 Review – “Animal Man #1”
I’ll review the rest of this week’s new issues in alphabetical order. Next up is the former Vertigo star, Animal Man.

New 52 Review – “Justice League #1”
The first complete issue of DC’s New 52 and their new continuity is out. While some might argue that 52 titles is 10 too many, it’s hard to complain about this particular entry to the roster. 51 more reviews are coming in September, covering the entire set of first issues.
