Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “My anime pick for these week is My Love Story, a nice, sweet rom-com anime. My UHD pick is The Valiant Ones – as King Hu has become one of my favorite directors out of Hong Kong in the ’70s and ’80s and his films are always shot in a where the 4K release really benefits. My general pick though is the reconstruction of The Celestial Toymaker – especially considering its current relevance to one of David Tennant’s stories after his return.” Blaine says, “I’d also like to see the reconstruction of The Celestial Toymaker after hearing the audio and seeing NPH play the character in its return. I also want to know if The Phantom Tollbooth has aged well and if my daughter would like it as much as I did when I had it in Betamax format.”
