Weekly New Releases – June 25, 2013

We have a few quality titles coming, but nothing of a blockbuster nature. Those are usually held until the blockbusters are out of theatres, so that the home video arm of a studio isn’t competing with the theatrical arm.

Comments Alright, take the five-on-five teams from the Survior Series. Add the staggered entry from the Royal Rumble. Instead of using one ring, use two, side-by-side. Then enclose these in a cell (which is like a steel cage, but with a roof). You have WCW’s War Games, one of the best match types to come out of the promotion. This includes a few of ECW’s takes on the War Games.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “if you don’t have Serenity, correct that oversight now. As for first-time releases, I haven’t seen any, but I enjoyed the first volume of Green Lantern: The Animated Series so much that I’ll gladly come along for the second volume.” Alex says, ” The Saint Seiya movies look interesting, but the War Games collection caught my interest a little more.”
