Reality Bites was an interesting film for its time. I don’t know how it would hold up now. Also, whatever happened to Helen Childress? She quit college to finish this movie (her first screenplay). It was a hit. Then she sold one other? I remember seeing an interview. The Hollywood execs were so clueless about regular american life, according to her, she had to explain the script’s reference to a Big Gulp.
