Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “I haven’t seen anything terribly compelling this week, but the Lost Soul documentary about the 1995 Island of Dr. Moreau definitely has my attention.” Alex says, “The Lost Soul documentary also has my interest along with the MST3K collection.”

  1. I’m having trouble again with the Canadian links!

On another note: Kill, Granny, Kill. Yeah. I haven’t seen it, but there is an entire subgenre from the 1960s/early 70s, variously known as “Psycho Biddy” and “Grand Dame Guignol,” gothic tales about crazy old ladies. Could a revival be brewing? Because I, for one, would love to see a Psycho Biddy retrospect run somewhere.
