  1. What res?
What resolution is this? I was flumoxed when I downloaded the Serenity HD trailer to discover it was 1900xSomat so none too surprisingly it was jerky on my Athlon64 and only averaged 13fps.

1080i (1920 by 1200 interlaced), or downcoverted to 720p (1280 by 720 progressive, compatible with most PC displays) if your HDTV monitor/set cannot handle that resolution. My TV set does 1440 by 960 interlaced (a special Sony mode.) My PC handles 720p, but cannot do 1080i.

Check your display drivers and make certain you have the latest HD codecs installed. My Athlon XP 2500+ overclocked to 2.07 GHz handles 720p, and 1080i downconversion just fine. Your Athlon 64 should handle anything you throw at it, unless perhaps you are running an older video card, maybe an nVidia Geforce 4 or older, or you don’t have at least 512 MB of RAM?
