Invasion Discussion: “Alpha Male”

Sheriff Underlay just might get the quarantine he’s been looking for when Russell discovers that escaped laboratory animals may be responsible for a deadly flu virus that’s beginning to spread throughout Homestead. Meanwhile, Jesse becomes jealous when Kira flirts with a boy at a party, and Larkin is physically attacked by a woman who questions the reporter’s identity.

    okay, officially hooked
finally watched the first show (yeah, I know, way late) from my DVR – this is one screwed up show. I’m as involved as I am for Lost.
Though am I the only one scared that shows don’t seem to know where they’re going to end?

The fundimental problem with this show is the fact that they don’t seem to be going anywhere. At least with Lost you’ve got backstory revelations and so forth. Not so much here. They need to move the story forward and soon or they risk their cushy lead-in.

Yeah, I’m really enjoying this show (and to a lesser extent Surface and Threshold), I might be easily impressed though. Pretty much any show this season that tries to have actual serialized plot is a welcome change from any reality or cop drama.

I especially liked the end of this episode since it is I think the first time we have had definite evidence that there is something different about the sheriff. Its been hinted at before, but I think that this is a first.

    Invation
Another good episode. This is the perfect follow up for Lost, and I hope they keep the two of them together. Invasion (rated #26) loses some of Lost’s (rated #3) audience, but you’d think ABC wouldn’t gripe about a show rated in the Top 30.
Sheriff Underlay is no Andy Griffith, but I can’t figure out yet if he is a good guy or a bad guy. He knows a lot more about what is going on than he is telling, as we saw in the final scene.
I’m hooked, can’t wait for next week.

You guys haven’t been paying attention. He keeps on telling his wife that she will get use to the physical changes. He talks like it a good thing and that she will soon understand. He like is wife has somehow been cloned/genetically altered by the Aliens.

    One down
Out of the four new shows I’m watching this season (Invasion, Surface, Threshold, Supernatural), this is the first one I’ve given up on. I just can’t get into it. After about 5 minutes of watching each episode, I end up drumming my fingers and checking how much longer it will be before it’s over.
