Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “My UHD Pick of the Week is the Mexico Trilogy – all three of these films make for an interesting profile of Robert Rodriguez’s growth as a director. My anime pick goes to the Berserk collection – I like the 1997 series a little more, but this is a good presentation of this part of the storyline. Otherwise, get the Star Trek Discovery series set.” Blaine says, “The Planet of the Apes (1968) and The Sixth Sense are both classics, and I keep hearing wonderful things about Resident Alien but I haven’t checked it out myself yet.”

One reply

  1. I need to watch Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I thoroughly enjoyed the last three films with Serkis. I haven’t heard if it was any good or not, but it’s sitting there on Disney+ just waiting for me.

I have caught a few Resident Alien episodes (and plan on more). It’s dark comedy and Tudyk is (as always) delightful. It’s set here in Colorado, but it looks like the exteriors are shot in Canada (our mountains look…older).
