Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “On the anime front, I’m going with Nasu: Summer in Andalusia, with Thief being my UHD pick of the week.” Blaine says, “I’ve always had a soft spot for Joe’s Apartment. On the other hand, if you have UHD capability and don’t already own The Lord of the Rings then this looks like a good week to correct that oversight.”

  1. I would definitely say, if someone doesn’t have LotR, this would be one to see in “Ultra HD.” I can’t say anything about Trick or Treat, except not to confuse it with Trick ‘r’ Treat.

    And I wonder if American Pie holds up, so many years later.

  2. I enjoyed the new Frasier. I was a big fan of the original. The new one wasn’t quite as good, but there were some stand out episodes (the Ham one was inspired insanity and the final Christmas episode was surprisingly touching).
