I Parry Everything
Amazon
Comments Game inspired fantasy anime, where the joke is the main character is an utterly clueless himbo with an obcenely high parry skill, so he can parry (and riposte) any attack of any kind, and any strength, that is even remotely directed at him – but he’s convinced that he’s utterly pants at combat because all the rest of his battle skills are very low (so he can beat literally any opponent that attacks him, but if he initiates an attack against someone he’ll whiff) – and he’s so utterly clueless he thinks a minotaur is a cow. The premium box set includes an artbook, a certificate of authenticity, a desk replica of a sword the main character gets in the course of the series, an enamel pin, and two “accurate” bumper stickers (i.e. one is the minotaur the main character thinks is a cow).

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “If you don’t have Avatar and Korra already, the Avatar and Korra collection is a pretty strong recommendation. Otherwise, I’m actually going with the Friday the 13th collection, that has basically every film in the series (outside of Jason X – which has the best line in the franchise) I’d want to watch.” Blaine says, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Spotlight are both incredible films. I can’t choose just one of them.”

  1. Renfield was better than I expected, being a super-hero comedy movie for the most part, with the bonus of Nick Cage as Dracula. (I guess he finally got that Vampire’s Kiss…)
