There’s a a few nerdcore songs that just have the rapper listing off a bunch of whatever the song is about. There’s the Weird Al version (that’s not rap) in Polkamon. Right now, this feels like a movie version of that. “Look it’s this character! And this! And did you forget that Marvel has this? We got them, too!”
I expect we’re getting an adaptation of the 2015 Secret Wars. It was was good as a comic, but really was Marvel just resetting their Universe to clean up their various other continuities and get back to the status quo everyone is used to. I expect the MCU is doing that to reset their actors and let them start fresh without erasing everything they’ve already done.
Makes sense since next year is Avengers: Secret Wars.
I need to educate myself, I’m way behind. Looks like my library has issues 1-9 of Secret Wars on digital. Huzzah!
I enjoyed it. If you’ve read Crisis on Infinite Earths, you can see what the writers grew up on, but it still had great moments.
(Thanos meets Doom is one of my favorite pages.)
I pulled a reading list. Looks like that one volume might not be enough.
I’m in.
Sounds like a mountain of screenings are already sold out.
I showed the trailer to my wife last night. Her words after seeing just a portion of the cast: “How #!@#@#$ expensive is this movie?”
She ain’t wrong. The bill for the cast alone is astronomical.
We’re not here yet:
