Battlestar Galactica’s third season to be darker

Damien writes, According to James Callis, who plays
President Baltar, the upcoming season 3 of everyone’s current favorite
scifi show is going to be even darker, more dystopic than before.

Warning: slightly spoilery.

    Duh
    I could’ve told you that

(Not that it was a nice cheerful show anyway…)

    We knew that
…I mean, we saw Adama looking critically at the malfunctioning lighting on Galactica, right?
    :-P

True, but some of the best sci-fi gear has been on the blink. Take the TARDIS (It blinks, but travels through space and time.), Al Calavicci’s remote/PDA, and even the Millennium Falcon.

Maybe, but you can fix the Falcon (and usually Al’s remote) by bashing them smartly. Galactica seems to be…needier.

That works with the TARDIS, too. In fact, when they made an RPG called Time Lord based on Dr Who, they included the skill of Benchthumping.

In general, it seems to me like it didn’t take a lot to get the Galactica back into shape from prepping for retirement, so it’ll be interesting to see about getting it back in shape from this.

Regarding the actual story, though, I admit to being mildly disturbed by this show going darker, but I will trust Moore to do it well.

Yeah, Galactica is not just regular darkness, it is "Advanced Darkness".
