Sorry this is so late.
First, the genre releases.
- Aquamarine: A mermaid story.
- The Dead Zone – Season Four
- Divergence Eve – Complete Collection
- Farscape Starburst Edition 4.1: Where are my box sets of these?
- Genshiken Premium Collection
- Medium – Season One
- Stargate SG1 – Season 1: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 2: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 3: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 4: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 5: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 6: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 7: A thinpack rerelease.
- Stargate SG1 – Season 8: A thinpack rerelease.
Then, the non-genre releases.
- Anne of Green Gables Trilogy: Canadian drama.
- Beavis and Butt-head – The Mike Judge Collection Vol. 2
- The Betty Grable Collection, Vol. 1: Includes Moon Over Miami, The Dolly Sisters, Down Argentine Way and My Blue Heaven.
- Cheers – Season Eight: One of the few sitcoms that improved with age.
- Coach – Season One
- Dave Chappelle’s Block Party (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
- Dharma and Greg – Season One
- Frasier – Season Eight
- Jimi Plays Monterey / Shake! Otis at Monterey – Criterion Collection: Jimi Hendrix and Otis Redding in Criterion Concert DVDs. That should be great.
- Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: I really enjoyed this one.
- L.A. Story – 15th Anniversary Edition: I’m not much of a Steve Martin fan, so this didn’t really impress me.
- Legends in Pinstripes: Three baseball movies.
- MacGyver – Season Six: I loved this show as a child. I’m almost afraid to watch it again.
- Monterey Pop – Criterion Collection
- The Pink Panther (Special Edition): The recent remake.
- The Rat Pack Collection: Ocean’s 11, Robin and the 7 Hoods, 4 for Texas
- The Rockford Files – Season Two: A serious contender for the pick of the week.
- Valley of the Dolls
- Walker, Texas Ranger – Season One
Finally, the pick of the week. I’ve got to go with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, an independent film that recreates a lot of the film noir style in full color while still maintaining a sense of humour. I saw it with people from work, and some of the more conservative individuals left the screening, but I really enjoyed it.
Good, I didn’t know if I should buy anything
Hey, didn’t that special edition of The Princess Bride come out today?
Re: Good, I didn’t know if I should buy anything
Yes, both editions did, though I didn’t list them because I somehow convinced myself they were represses of the same ones.
Re: Good, I didn’t know if I should buy anything
Are they? Is there anything new in ’em? Usually the only reason I’ll ‘upgrade’ a DVD is if it has better picture and/or sound. According to my database, my current Princess Bride DVD is already widescreen and with 5.1 sound…
Jimi Hendrix/Otis Redding
Getting just that set seems pretty foolish, as you can get it along with the actual movie and tons of other footage in the Criterion Monterey boxset.
