    New Star Wars Series
Dark Horse has announced yet another new Star Wars series, Star Wars: Dark Times. It takes place after the events of Revenge of the Sith and the Purge one-shot. The format will be a bunch of mini-series, similar to that of Star Wars: Rebellion, and the two series will leapfrog each other in terms of publishing dates (see the linked article for a better explanation).

I haven’t been reading this, but I may buy the trade paperbacks, which DC supposedly won’t release until the entire thing finishes. It sounds like an interesting experiment. I can’t think of anything like it that’s been done before in a comic.

Broadly, what’s 52 about? I know the concept is an issue a week, but what’s the story? Does it fit with the publishing concept?

Hmmm… That "delayed trade paperback" info may be an internet rumor.

In any case, 52 is a week-by-week account of the year between the end of Infinite Crisis and the start of DC’s current comics, in which we learn more about the rebooted history of the DC universe, and we see how it copes with the "Big Three" (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) not suiting up.

I just picked up the first eight issues, so we’ll likely have reviews next week, and every month or so thereafter.

Hmmm… That "delayed trade paperback" info may be an internet rumor.

It’s a quote from one of Dan Didio’s Newsarama interviews that I haven’t traked down just yet. Moreover, he specified some number of months later, on the order of 6-8, so it’s pretty sound. They really want people on board for each issue.
