If I can find the Klingon “Total Eclipse of the Heart” on Spotify, it may be added to my playlist. The rest pretty much left me flat. It really felt like the friction between these two was manufactured for the sole point of setting up a “reconciliation” story.
The friction has only one episode behind it (the season premiere), so it feels like that arc was, effectively, fridged. I was, at first, impressed how they managed to squeeze Kirk onto the show again, and then it fell through. That guy really spends way too much time on the Enterprise considering he’s not crew.
I enjoyed it for what it was, a palate cleanser after last week’s hard horror episode. Plus, Dave Foley is a treat.
