Pelia didn’t even get a final scene before leaving? Did the script call for Billy Crystal but the budget didn’t allow it, or what?
Yeah, I was really hoping for a cameo, but alas.
Even in our reality, if someone was such a stark difference from someone you know, I don’t think you immediately believe they’re who they say they are. If my wife suddenly showed up with new hair, behaving like that, even if I don’t jump to ‘replaced by a doppelganger,’ I am not going to let her step in and do whatever I my wife normally does without figuring out what she’s up to.
That is, !Pike and !Spoke get way too far into a military ship with massive amounts of scanning technology for being clearly imposters.
My favorite thing I saw was that Runa is actually played by Runa Ewok, Christina Chong’s real-life dog. Somehow that just made it all so much cuter.
I meant to look that up. I know she brings the dog with her to interviews and conventions. Just wasn’t sure if it was the same dog. Nice.
I absolutely agree that Ortegas should have sent up every possible red flag when Spock smiled at her in the corridor.
