How does this spinoff compare to Torchwood (so far)?

Passable… :) So far, this one feels more like Doctor Who than Torchwood.
On another note, has anyone noticed that everyone and their dog has deadlocks now?
Still a kid’s show But fine for a kid’s show. The SFX are of near-Doctor Who quality, the Alzheimer patient was convincing. The world was saved, yet again, by a handful of spunky teenagers and one adult and her alien technology.
