I do apologize for posting this so late. I just found out about it at 6pm EDT.

Some web site or fileshare should have the clip posted today or tomorrow. I’ll update everyone as soon as I find something out.

    Follow-Up

Well, if you missed it, you didn’t miss much.

The main feature of the article seemed to be killing rumors that Picard would be dying in the movie (Yeah, and the next Trek series wouldn’t be a prequel, right Mr. Berman?). The only set we got to see was the briefing room (same as the TV series). Oh, Frakes & Sirtis will be using their real-life rings for their wedding scene, which is supposed to features some surprise guests (I assume Wil Weaton).

There was also no mention of Ron Perlman, only that Romulans would be in the movie (we also got a glimpse of Data explaining a little about Remus, Romulus’ sister planet).

It was nice to see everyone in uniform and on the set. Makes the production seem a little more real.

    The death of Spock?
    First post here.

I haven’t seen this discussed anywhere — remember where we last saw Spock? People might want to pay attention to Mr. Nimoy’s schedule over the next several months to see how frequently he visits the Paramount lot? I do not recall Mr. Nimoy ever saying that his appearance as Spock on TNG would be his last. Besides that, we all know how persuasive studios can be when trying to resurrect favorite old characters.

How could we possibly have a Trek movie about Romulus and Remus that didn’t at least mention Spock’s grass-roots attempt to bridge the gulf between the Romulan and Vulcan peoples? If there’s a big funeral in this film, seeing how Kirk’s death was the centerpiece of one film, wouldn’t it be fair to Spock’s character to give his final moment a piece of film?

It’s just a question that comes to mind when I think about a story that has TNG Romulans as one of its primary players. We’ll see if the script writer was paying attention to TNG history. :)

    Peace,

    – Joe G.

That would imply that they give a hoot about continuity. WARNING: THE FOLLOWING GUESS MAY TURN OUT TO BE A SPOILER: I suspect that the big funeral will be for the character played by an actor who has said he doesn’t want to come back. There are a few of those, but only one who’s getting story credit.
