Anime/Manga Translator Amy Forsyth passes away

Anime News Network reports that Amy Forsyth, a translator who worked with ADV on such titles as the Full Metal Panic franchise, as well as Azumanga Daioh (both the anime series and the manga) died recently of unspecified causes. She was 33.

With my manga reviews, and less with my anime reviews, I try to give credit to the translator. As good as the original script may be, if the translation is poor, the version that we put in our DVD player or on our shelves will also be of poor quality. This reminded me of this. In the future I will endeavor to give the translators for anime series the credit they deserve.
