  1. Dallasites & Fort Worthers – it’s on tonight
We in the metroplex got preempted for Basketball. Dumb move, IMHO – it’s on tonight at 9pm, but I may have gotten the SVCD by then.

  2. Hmm.
So Spike has indeed been killing people and burying them in (somebody else’s) basement. The scene where he runs into one of his victims at the Bronze wasn’t as disturbing as Aimee Mann’s subsequent comment “I hate playing vampire towns” though. Is this sort of thing common knowledge among musicians on tour? “Hmm, we could play Fresno after that, we have a lot of fans there, but it’s one of those vampire towns, so I dunno…”. On the subject of music, Spike inspired Billy Idol’s image huh? I knew he’d done some truly evil things, but that might top them all.

Anyway, does Spike get away with this now, no harm no foul? He’s clearly dangerous despite having both a soul AND a chip of seemingly diminished function. Putting him “under observation” seems kind of… light. OK, so I miss 100% evil Spike a little. At least then you could just root for Buffy to stake him.

By that standard most of the scooby gang should be done in. Besides Buffy loves him.

  3. Awakening further interest
Well, now the question is answered; Spike is indeed siring vamps. He isn’t, however, responsible as the Big Bad has been manipulating him to do it. So, because of this, there is a chance at redemption for him. We’ll see.

The tale was enlightening and a great build in the larger plot with the big bad. There is even the hint of a minor victory when the big bad became ever so slightly miffed in Spike’s acting before scheduled. This, however, seemed to this humble viewers mind, too easy. Like a minor anoyance. There may be something more to it.

I think the big bad is probably cleverer than that… and what’s happening with Jonathan, he got killed last episode in the high school basement! Or did I imagine that bit?

But from those two episodes it is clear that the big bad is manipulating people – Buffy, Willow, Spike, Dawn and Andrew at the very least. Fun fun fun!

Oh, and why couldn’t we have three seconds more footage at the very end of the episode? I hate cliffhangers like that – especially when Angel also has a cliffhanger (although perhaps the Angel one wasn’t quite as cliff-hanging).

          I Dunno, I Didn’t Hear Cordy Moaning Yet….
