All 52 new titles from DC have now been reviewed. Here is the summary of the line and my thoughts on the whole thing.
Category Archives: Comics
New 52 Review – “Teen Titans #1”
This is it: the 52nd review of the New 52 #1 issues. To follow: a summary article compiling my final thoughts, grouping and categorizing the titles. After that, there will be a guide to finding the hooded woman in each issue (assuming I can find her when I go back to find her in the first two weeks, before I knew to look.)
New 52 Review – “The Fury of Firestorm #1”
This relaunched title is a true origin story, with the secret identities of Firestorm being nothing more than human teenagers when the first page takes place.
New 52 Review – “Blackhawks #1”
This is a high tech military title, and the last to be reviewed that seems to be mandated to diversify the line.
New 52 Review – “All Star Western #1”
DC’s western title is part of their efforts to diversify the line. While diverse, I’m not sure it’ll scratch the itch many readers will want it to scratch.
New 52 Review – “Voodoo #1”
This WildStorm property is now in the DCU proper.
New 52 Review – “I, Vampire #1”
A vampire horror series is part of the relaunch as well. Like the cliche says, do not judge a book by its teen angsty romance cover.
New 52 Review – “Justice League Dark #1”
The magical corner of DC’s universe has a Justice League of its own.
New 52 Review – “Batman: The Dark Knight #1”
The fourth title to showcase DC’s Caped Crusader hits this week. As a gothic hero, he also kicks off the comic reviews over the Halloween weekend.
New 52 Review – “The Savage Hawkman #1”
Hawkman may have the single most convoluted history in comics. If anyone needs a clean slate in the relaunch, it’s him.
