Weekend Review: Kong – Skull Island
Three years ago, Legendary Pictures revived the Godzilla franchise with their take on The Big G. The film did well enough that it lead Legendary to start up their own Kaiju Cinematic Universe, with Godzilla’s next outing being a big monster battle royale, with Kong joining the Godzilla series staples – but first, we have to unveil this series’ version of Kong.

2017 Academy Award Nominess
The nominees for the films that came out in 2016 are up. As usual, genre films are passed over, but at least Arrival seems to have caught the Academy’s attention for some of the major awards. While not genre, per se, Hidden Figures is definitely a geek-friendly movie and highly recommended by the Bureau staff.
