Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “wait at least a week.” Alex says, “Unless you’re looking for some schlockly exploitation films like 1990: Bronx Warriors, wait a week or more.”
Five Easy Pieces is one of those films everyone should see at least one time, and Deadwood had its @#$% charm. Otherwise, not a great week, and not much for our genres.
I guess I need to retry Deadwood. I could not get past the first episode, I found the language to be the focus and could not get into the narrative at all.
Anyone happen to know if there is anything new in this edition of UHF?
I’ve already got it on DVD, and the description doesn’t seem to say anything new, just new cover art. Not even a half-hearted attempt at a Blu-Ray transfer.
If anyone hasn’t seen UHF, that’s what I’d recommend. Classic 80’s comedy + Weird Al = Genius
