An online petition is now up demanding that Uwe Boll (the ‘genius’ behind BloodRayne and other video game-based atrocities) not be allowed to direct any more movies.
Do everyone a favor, and sign it. Please.

Why? Seems like a waste of negative energy to me. If I don’t like a class of movies, I just don’t go see them.

Why? Because he is getting money from Hollywood that could go to better directors. Some of the brain dead execs in Hollywood really could use a wake up call.

What theangrymob failed to mention is that even though the petition has been around for a while, Uwe Boll was recently asked about it in an interview…
Are you aware that there is a petition online, signed by 18,000 people, requesting that you stop making movies?
Boll: Yeah, I know that. 18,000 is not enough to convince me.
How many would it take?
Boll: One million. Now we have a new goal.
Hear that, haters? A challenge!
So if you take him at his word, and you don’t like his movies, and you would rather see other people given a chance to make good movies using the source material he ruins, then there is a reason to sign the petition besides just venting frustration.
Re: Why? And what’s even better is he has now asked that his fans start a petition to show their support of him. I have a feeling the numbers won’t be so favorable towards him.

The way this story is evolving is hilarious … you know something magical is happening when IMDB makes a special little section about "The Great Boll-Off 2008" at the bottom of their main page…
