Large and Varied Marvel News

There was a lot of news regarding Marvel comics announced yesterday. Newsarama has a series of articles, and the announcements are summarized in this one. The ones that most interest me: Joss Whedon and Michael Ryan take over Runaways with issue 25, JMS will write the new Thor, and when Spider-Man ditches the Iron Spidey look, he’s going back to the black costume rather than the red and blue. Numerous other announcements are in there, too.

40 Years of Star Trek

Sadly, this milestone comes at a time when there is no new Star Trek in production, and the concept behind next film has most fans saying, “eh.” Ten years ago, they knew how to celebrate a Trek anniversary.

‘Invincible’ Takes the Top Again

Galactica Webisodes Premiering Tomorrow

As first reported back in June, ten new “Webisodes” of Battlestar Galactica will premiere tomorrow on the Sci-Fi Channel Web site (and probably on your favorite P2P network by Wednesday and Friday). TV commercials say there will be new episodes each Tuesday and Thursday for the next five weeks, covering events between the season two finale and the third season premiere in October.
