Be sure to wander by the Apple Trailers site after 2:30pm EDT to catch a glimpse of next year’s Spider-Man movie.

Rowling to kill two in final Potter book
chad writes, According to this Reuters article, J.K. Rowling is going to kill off two characters in the final Harry Potter book. Notice, however, that Rowling says, “two die that I didn’t intend to die,” while the Reuters headline assume that only two will die. Rowling’s statement leaves room for additional deaths, provided she had intended from the beginning for them to happen.

Moore isn’t alluding to Aldous Huxley; he’s going back to the Shakespearian source of the phrase. It suits the story, but one wonders about the wisdom of giving your comic-book the same title as a famous dystopic novel.
TV’s Aaron Spelling Dead at Age 83
Prolific TV producer, Aaron Spelling died June 23rd from a stroke he suffered the previous Sunday. Known for many, many shows, his contributions to genre television included the TV series Charmed and Fantasy Island and the TV movie Day One.
Sandler “Clicks” His Way to the Top
Another decent opening for Adam Sandler (who has opened with $35 million or more in his last 7 movies). We’ll see how it holds up. Apparently there’s another one of those “comic book” movies opening next week.
