NBC’s Lineup Devoid of Sci-Fi

Well, NBC announced its new fall lineup online just a few minutes ago…unfortunately, I can’t find a single genre show in the entire lineup.

Hitch: Sorry! Typo/brain glitch! Not ABC but NBC!

Darnit.

On the plus side, the WB has renewed Angel. UncleJam submitted THIS article about that. We’ll be posting more about the WB’s lineup when it’s announced tomorrow morning.

  1. L&O
What they need is a “Law and Order: Special space station unit” or
    something…

Maybe a Law&Order: Unclassiable Crimes Unit. The lead character (Abe
    C. Bulder) would investigate alien abductions and whatnot while his
sceptical red-haired sidekick would do a lot of autopsies…

What they really ought to do is come up with something unique…something NEW. A space western! Maybe they could do a REALLY good job…I mean, write it well, get great actors, put it in a well fleshed out universe…they could name it….hmmm….bombardier beetle….or….mosquito…OOH! I KNOW! LIGHTNINGBUG!

This is NBC’s lineup. It doesn’t have any Sci-Fi, either.
Or does ABC actually have some?

We’ll know after the official announcement, scheduled for Tuesday the last time I heard.

do we ever really expect to see a lot of risky ventures from the big three(CBS, NBC, ABC)? I mean CBS canned Star Trek! I’m trying to remember, but “Now and Again” is the only sci-fi show that I can think of that came out of one of those channels in a long time.

The only other stuff I can think of Is SeaQuest, Lois and Clark, and Viper. With the exception of Lois and Clark, those shows were all killed by poor scheduling.

Yet we know that these are not stupid people in the decision making chairs. These networks have as much as said, “We don’t care about the sci-fi viewer base.”

My apologies, I made a mistake when typing/thinking this article out. Sorry!
