    Also, according to this ancient but clearly accurate source, Scooby belongs to a sentient breed of Great Danes known as “Great Doos.” C’mon, people! It says so on the internets!

        I have another kind of question: how many people here watched the first broadcast of the first episode? I was in kindergarten, and Scoob instantly tied with Bugs Bunny as my favorite show.

          It debuted 6 years before I was born, so I grew up with new (and rerun) episodes. But it was definitely one of my absolute favorite shows growing up. Kicked off my interest in mysteries at a young age.
