Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day and, for a little humor, we’re diving into the life and works of that master of parody, Weird Al Yankovic. That’s right, thirty questions of Weird Al Trivia.
From the mid-80s through today, Al Yankovic has been delighting kids (and kids-at-heart) with his tunes. This week, we dive into his songs and his career.
In site news, we broke 40,000 downloads last week! Thank you to everyone who’s listening and who’s helping to spread the word. We really appreciate it!
10, 9, 7 for a total score of 49. Honestly, I’m disappointed with myself.
I hypothesize I am not the only listening to his discography today, am I?
Just yesterday, I was playing Word Crimes for Majel to help her with her spelling words (It’s was on the list.)
Dorky – 8 right, 8 points – The first one I get wrong is about the real song. I never heard that one, but can sing all the lyrics to the Al version. (Same for the second real song question (but I got that one right.)
Geeky – 8 right, 16 points – My first wrong answer was the right answer to the next one.
Nerdy – 5 right, 15 points – The longest song is one of my kids favorites. That also means it’s one of my wife’s least favorites.
This might be my highest scoring run. If you like Al Trivia, I recommend Twenty Six and a Half, specifically Weird Al Didn’t Write This Song and Al’s Band
My wife’s comments as I talk about this:
