Don’t stare into the abyss, my friends! This week, we’ve got 30 questions about HP Lovecraft Trivia. We’re covering his life and works. That’s right, this week Dorky Geeky Nerdy is taking on Cthulhu and the eldritch horrors!
Three rounds of ten questions each. The Dorky round is full of easy questions, the Geeky round has intermediate questions, and the Nerdy round has the hardest questions. But you’ve got this!
One: 7 (7)
Two: 5 (10)
Three: 7 (21)
Thirty-eight
Just to be clear, the Lovecraft busts were discontinued, not the World Fantasy Awards!
Quite so! I should have made more clear in the question/answer.
I always liked that this man was so noteworthy his name is an adjective.
Dorky – 4 right, 4 points – There were a lot more Lovecraftian adaptations than I realized
Geeky – 2 right, 4 points – I enjoyed shouting out answers, only to realize they were incredibly wrong.
Nerdy – 0 right, 0 points – Tricky Quizmaster…
I knew I didn’t know Mi
“I enjoyed shouting out answers, only to realize they were incredibly wrong.”
If the past 5 years have taught us anything, it’s that being confident leads to more success than being right.
And now I’ve depressed myself…
Captain Picard taught us that confidence is essential for a leader, which can lead a person to speak confidently, even when wrong.
My wife has taught me that doing that is a great way to make sure every single thing you ever say is doubted. (“Yes, I do know how to get there, now just turn left!”)
Maybe that’s why, as I get older, I find that I gravitate more towards Captain Janeway. A little humility, and a lot of curiosity, makes for a great leader.
How can you not trust a leader who leads by coffee?
