“Superman Returns” Teaser Online

Nothing outstanding, but it’s something. Primarily a few clips from the movie and Marlon Brando’s voice over (recycled from the original films). And it’s Windows Media only right now. Download now from AOL.com.

Or you could choose a downloading format
From the post I left last week in the Smaville thread: 16 different files in 5 different formats, for download, in addition to this stream.

And, technically, isn’t this a teaser?

      It is, technically.

…and a damn fine teaser, it is. Owing mostly to the music + voice-over, since they didn’t show much, but I sure got a kick out of it.

I love the “[logo]… Returns” bit. That’s so effective.

Given the plot summary on IMDB

Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns

I thought it would be a continuation of the original 4 movies (with better writers), but from the teaser, much of it looks like a remake of the original superman 1 movie, complete with superman / lois meeting on her balcony.

It’s actually a do-over of Superman 3. It takes place after the events of Superman 2, supes has gone away for out-of-this-world adventures, and he returns (ta-da!).

Which is why they’re redoing the Zod storyline on Smallville, so the yung’ins can be up to speed.

You’re kidding. Complete with the “fraction cents off every transaction” and “let’s plug in Tar as the secret Kryptonite ingredient”?

From what I heard, No. More from a “What 3rd (and 4th) movie. We only remember two,” point of view. Which suits me just fine…

Do over, not remake : )

    Hate To Nit-Pick…
    Is It ‘Begins’ Or ‘Returns’?

I Heard Of Superman Returns, And That Mildly Interested Me, But After Seeing Batman Begins, If They’d Gotten Something Like That Together, I’d Be A Bit More Interested.

It’s Superman Returns. The article header has a
      mistake.

Pfff, angry mobs… it’s all about pitchforks and torches with them, they never bother with the details.

Ack. I had it right the first time, but in my haste to change “Trailer” to “Teaser” I introduced a new mistake. And by looking at the Teaser, it looks like this film is just doing for Superman what Batman Begins did for the Dark Knight. So it’s an easy mistake. Right?

That was my thought exactly, the plot summary says one thing, the teaser implies something else. Which one is right, or perhaps the teaser is showing hundreds of flashbacks :).
