I was able to watch this last night. It was a good movie, but I felt a little let down. I’ve heard it referred to as “awesome” a couple times and I didn’t think it was awesome.

Really, Naomi Watts did a great job, as did Adrian Brody, Andy Serkis, and the ship captain. The rest were sort of ok.

It was too long, which is maybe just opinion, but some scenes felt drawn out.

The emotions I expected to feel simply did not exist, and that’s not normal for me. I couldn’t care about the characters or the story about the romance between anyone.

Visually it’s amazing and the exciting parts are very much exciting. Definitely worth watching overall.
