Vietnam War Trivia

It’s the 250th episode of Dorky Geeky Nerdy! We also broke 250,000 downloads in October, so it’s milestones all around. Thank you all so much for your support. For our second November episode, we’re continuing our wars of the 20th century theme with Vietnam War Trivia.

As a Gen-Xer, I grew up with adults that fought in this war and heard so many first-hand tales of what it was like. If you served, thank you for your service. I know it was brutal.

With that said, let’s get this show started.

  1. My dad was drafted, but was only shipped to Germany, not to an active combat zone.

Dorky – 7 correct, 7 points – I know more about fictionalized accounts.
Geeky – 1 correct, 2 points – I thought that name was a place, not a person. The last one is a place here in Pittsburgh.
    Nerdy – 0 correct, 0 points – Oh, that’s why I thought that.

Clearly this wasn’t one I studied. I also have an aversion to wars and histories of humans trying to kill each other, so I tend not to focus on it.

    • Ditto, my dad spent a few years in a German motor pool, but apparently still had to be ready to hop on a plane to the jungle at any time. Thankfully that never happened for him.
