Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “My 4K UHD pick, my anime pick, and general pick for the week, without hesitation, is The Last Unicorn – it is an absolutely gorgeous work of animation. The release also includes the Blu-Ray version, and it is without any of the compromises of earlier releases – it doesn’t have any of the violence or profanity edited out from earlier releases, nor is it re-edited from a PAL release.” Blaine says, “I would also recommend The Last Unicorn, and I seem to enjoy Death to Smoochy a lot more than most.”

One reply

  1. The Last Unicorn. Oh man, I watched that a lot on VHS (recorded off of HBO). I think I have the DVD somewhere…

I really need to read the book.

I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about Inside Out 2. And the fact that it’s the highest grossing animated film of all time (beating the monstrosity that is Frozen) tells you plenty.
