Looks like a good year for genre fiction.
Last of Us and Andor also nabbed a few nominations each.
I’m befuddled why The Simpsons got a nomination for Best Animated Series and Star Trek: Lower Decks did not. (I’m guessing Disney put on a campaign whereas Paramount did not)
Some of these categories make no sense. The Bear is (again) in Comedy. Dying for Sex shows up in both Anthology and Limited series. The more these categories drift, the less seriously general audiences will take these awards.
Bonus shout out to my high school classmate, Keri Russell, for her nomination!
The only nomination for “Matlock” was Kathy Bates? She deserves it, but that show also deserves casting recognition and more acting nods for Sam Anderson, Skye P. Marshall, and Leah Lewis at least.
It’s good to see Doctor Who nominated, if only for choreography of all things!
