Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “My pick of the week, beyond a doubt, is Keep Your Hands off Eizouken, anime or not-anime. Yes there are other things you can get as 4K picks this week – I’d pick Eizouken above all of them. Yes, it’s pricey, but this is also a case where I’d say these specific extras, because of what the work is about (specifically the process of animation), tremendously complement the work.” Blaine says, “of those I’ve seen, I’m picking Thunderbolts*, which is something of a return to form for the MCU without feeling formulaic. I’ve heard amazing things about Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, so that’s pretty high on the watch list.”

One reply

  1. Thunderbolts was really good. Felt good to watch an MCU movie with people being heroes (NGL, I had a big grin on my face when they came together to save civilians in the streets from falling debris).

Gonna watch Jurassic World because…dinosaurs. I’m always down for dinos.

Memphis Belle is such a good WW2. Probably eclipsed by the fact that we know life aboard those bombers was actually much worse, but it’s a good outing by some of the 90s biggest up-and-comers.
