Happy April Fool’s Day. This week, I’ve got one of the biggest fools on screen, Austin Powers. All three movies are in the spotlight this week, with each movie getting one round to itself.
I saw these back when they were new, and I did see all three, but it’s been long enough that I am sure I forget everything that isn’t heavily in pop culture.
Dorky – 6 Right, 6 Points –
Geeky – 6.5 Right, 13 Points – I knew that actress, but I haven’t heard her name in ages and couldn’t get to it! I did get one of the #2 actors, so I am taking a half point.
Nerdy – 3 Right, 9 Points –
I am surprised that I am not in a mood to rewatch these after the quiz. I think it’s because I remember the third one going far enough off the rails, and the crude comedy never seems to really amuse me.
The flaw was just adding yet another Mike Meyers character to the mix with each one. It was cute having him do the hero and villain…but a henchman…then another henchman?
Now, I could do a rewatch of So I Married An Axe Murderer. (Meyers plays the main character and his “dad”)
