RIP Chadwick Boseman (1977-2020)

Variety is reporting that Chadwick Boseman has died of colon cancer at the age of 43. Most recently he was best known for the role of Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however his earlier film roles including playing the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, and the first African-American man to break the color barrier and play in the MLB, Jackie Robinson, in bio-pics for both people (Marshall and 42, respectively).

Spider-Man is Back in the MCU

Put the torches and pitchforks away, my friends. Spidey is staying with the MCU.

Whatever money issues between Sony and Disney that were an impasse have, apparently, been sorted out. So we can look forward to seeing Spider-Man in other MCU movies as well as MCU characters appearing in Spider-Man films.

Wakanda For An Oscar?

The 2018 Academy Awards nominees are out and, for the first time ever, a superhero movie has made it into the Best Picture Category. Black Panther probably won’t win, but it’s a nice nod to the genre that has certainly matured in the last decade.
