D.E. Comics

  • BATTLESTAR GALACTICA #9
  • – I haven’t been reviewing these, since I’ve repeatedly asked if people wanted them reviewed, and gotten no response. They’re not bad, but they’re not great, either.

Marvel Comics

  • CABLE DEADPOOL #40 – This title consistently delivers funny and well plotted comics that ship on time. I love this title, and heartily encourage you to give it a try.
  • CIVIL WAR WAR CRIMES – Includes the decent one-shot by the same name, and the Underworld miniseries that had nothing at all to do with Civil War.
  • CIVIL WAR X-MEN UNIVERSE – Includes the Civil War crossovers in Cable and Deadpool (also collected in a Cable and Deadpool collection) and X-Factor (which will likely also appear in an X-Factor collection.) This strikes me as the trade for those who collect these titles only for the Civil War, while those who collect the titles anyway will have the issues in those collects that won’t interrupt the flow of the collection. It’s a nice approach.
  • EXILES #94
  • FALLEN SON DEATH OF CAPTAIN AMERICA CAPTAIN AMERICA – This will be reviewed when I’m back in town this weekend.
  • MIGHTY AVENGERS #3 – An entertaining title thus far.
  • MOON KNIGHT #10 – The Civil War crossover, according to the checklists, ended with issue 9. The crossover was barely existant, and the story arc is clearly not over. If the “Casualties of War” banner is still on issue 10, the review will wait. If it’s not, issues 7-9 will be reviewed this weekend.
  • ORSON SCOTT CARDS WYRMS #4 (OF 6)
  • RUNAWAYS VOL 3 HC – Collecting the twelve issues that immediately predate Joss Whedon’s involvement. It’s a good collection of a good, and unique, title.
  • ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #109 – Mark Bagley’s pentultimate issue.
  • ULTIMATE X-MEN #82
  • ULTIMATES 2 #13 – Yes, it’s actually shipping this week, after months of waiting. Why the delay? Aside from the normal delays on this title, this one had the extra delays caused by Hitch drawing an eight page gatefold combat scene, followed by the production delays of actually putting the eight page gatefold into the issue itself. It’s been an irritatingly slow read buying it on the stands, but this run is going to make a fantastic hardcover when all thirteen issues and both annuals are packaged together.
