Airing before Transformers, this mystery teaser is generating a lot of buzz. Lots of speculation as to what it is from a remake of “The Host” to another American Godzilla movie.
Re: Bad Robot! Slusho is related. The tag line caught my attention, and You can’t drink just six could be an anagram of something.
There’s ‘Daisy junks turns toxic’, which isn’t useful, but the clumsy engrish, and the fact that ‘toxic’ is in there makes me think there probably is something useful/interesting there. Maybe if you add in ‘Slusho’.

‘A Toxic Industry’s Junk’
Re: Bad Robot!
It’d have to be in one of the same demographics as Transformers, so Godzilla (remake, nostalgia, kids) sounds likely. I wonder if it’s ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’, just because ‘Bad Robot’ makes me think of that, but IMDB says it’s a monster attack. There’s a bit more on IMDB.
Neat Advertising a movie without telling anyone it’s name – nice idea :-)
My first thought was the monstor from lost – sorta sounds like it. Maybe it got off the island! But that seems unlikely.
Slusho history and Gojira The Slusho history section refers to the founder as ‘Little Whale’ and mysterious ingredients from the deep sea and Gojira is a combination of Gorilla and Whale. So I’m thinking big monster movie.

With the way the history describes visiting the ocean and never being heard from again, mysterious dreams, unquenchable thirst, that sort of thing… I’d lean towards something of a more cosmic scale than Gojira. Combined with all the prophetic-sounding stuff on the Ethan Haas site, and the dream stuff in the blog, I’m leaning towards the apocalypse/Cthulu theories. (Keep in mind Cthulu’s connection with the deep ocean, too.)
Whatever it is, if they stick to the feel they’re building up, between the trailer and the stealth marketing, and they can actually pull it off in the movie, I’m very much looking forward to this.

Agreed. This looks very promising. The explosion effect in the handheld camera trailer, and for that matter the rest of the effects look pretty nice. The liberty head was obviously cgi when it came to rest, but flying through the air and bouncing off the building it was amazingly realistic.
This looks fun to me, assuming it doesn’t become another "Snakes on a Plane", where the hype is better than the movie.:)

I’d love to see C’Thulhu too, but he doesn’t seem like the type to throw the Statue of Liberty’s head around.
I could see ‘The Incredible Hulk’ doing that, but he doesn’t have a Japan connection. (Well, doesn’t Ultimate Hulk learn Zen there or something?)

But some of C’Thulhu’s buddies might be persuaded to lend a tentacle to the mayhem …

Re: More links
According to J.J., these aren’t related.

I think he’s lying. :)
Re: More links
It also links to the Hanso foundation, from Lost.
Though The Hanso Foundation might just be J.J. Abram’s version of ‘U.S. Robots‘

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anastasius_Balkin_Zeno Is a wikipedia page that is obviously a part of this. Apocalypse you say?
The second part of the plate is an NGC (stellar object registry) number for a cluster withing the Carina constellation, which is linked to a meteor shower that peaks right around the time of release.
And finally, http://www.anti-christ.com/ also linked, with a bible passage about the end of the world.
Re: Even More links
Ah, wikipedia didn’t like being used for viral marketing ;-)
Re: More links
My vote is above.

Further clarification, the summoning of Yog-Sothoth, see section 18 of http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/cienciareal/necronomicon/necronomicon_02.htm . Fire and flying things is exactly the kind of chaos Yog-Sothoth would cause.

Speaking of the IMDB, guess what suspiciously named remake is coming out in 2008…
Neat
