Supernatural Anime Teaser is Online

About two months ago I ran a news story about an upcoming anime project adapting the first two seasons of Supernatural, done as a partnership between Warner Bros. and Studio Madhouse. Well, the teaser for the project is up on YouTube and is embedded below the cut.

It looks okay. Again, I don’t know a lot about Supernatural, the video footage here looks like it’s material from the opening credits, rather than from the episodes proper. Still, it’s nice to know the project is progressing. I’ll post more as I get it.

  1. Erm. As a long-time fan of the show I’ll be following this with some trepidation – the show was superb (check the reviews that were published here a few months ago) so the bar is set VERY high.

    • Yeah, again – this looks almost entirely to be taken from the opening credits, only without the theme music, so the only thing I’m taking from this as a certainty is mechanical design (for the car and the gun), and character design. The look (in terms of “lighting” and “camera angle” choices) in episodes proper could turn out different, and the mouth-worm monster might not show up at all ever.
