Blaine: The first was an enjoyable coming of age comedy, so I gave the second a shot. This is one of the preachiest movies I’ve ever seen. It feels like someone had a pro-PETA agenda to push and found a vehicle to do it with. Even the “patriotic” title seems orchestrated to get the audience to support the agenda. The first is worth seeing at least once, but the second is a definite miss.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “operating under the assumption that any Bureau 42 reader who wants Star Trek II and Star Trek IV already has them, I’m going to recommend the original Scream. Do not feel guilty about skipping the sequels.” Alex says, “I’m going with Guin Saga – I saw the first few episodes fansubbed and liked what I saw, and I intend to finish the series now that it’s licensed.”
