Bill Watterson said that Hobbes comes to life in
Calvin’s version of reality. That’s enough to
convince me it’s alternate reality stuff, and
therefore, Bureau 42 material.

Comic Review – “Essential Marvel Team-Up Vol. 1”
I’ve now picked up all of the Essentials except
Essential Conan (which is pretty much impossible to
find.) This was the most often requested volume of
those that hadn’t been reviewed. Essential
Avengers Vol. 3 and Essential Captain
America Vol. 1 & 2 will be reviewed some
other week.

Kingdom Hospital Discussion
Yes, this should have been up yesterday. My bad.
How was episode 2?
Century City Premiere
Anonymous Coward writes, CBS will air a new
series called Century City starting March 16th.
Tagline is “Meet the lawyers of the future.” For
more info go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/century_city/.
If people are interested, we can put up a
Discussion Column for it.
Smallville Discussion – “1961,” “Pilot” (both reruns)
The “you choose the rerun” stunt starts tonight.
First, we have 1961, followed by the
Pilot episode.
Weekly Comics Discussion
This
week, expect new issues of Ultimate
Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men, as well
as the first issue of Iron Fist,
Avengers / Thunderbolts, and She
Hulk. Also, for people who haven’t picked up
Supreme Power yet, the first six issues are
collected in a trade paperback that ships today.
Budget accordingly; it sucks in people who don’t
generally read comics at all, as well as the regular
fans.
Warner Bros. DVD Plans
Warner Bros. reps had a huge chat last night.
There’s an incredible amount of information about the
movies and TV series coming to DVD in the next couple
of years available in the chat
transcript. You might want to skip to the
summary at the bottom. Home Theater
Forum hosted the chat, and did a mighty fine job.
LOTR:ROTK on DVD in May
The bare-bones release of Lord of the Rings:
Return of the King will be out May 25, according
to this
Cinescape article. The November releases of the
deluxe editions have always been coming in as fast as
they can produce them, so I don’t expect that one to
get here any faster.
Charmed Discussion – “Love’s A Witch” (rerun)
This episode was originally discussed way back here.
