The heat is on, though they could fire up the pacing just a little more.
This week’s episode improves on last week’s. We have some interesting developments, Nazi echoes, a new (if likely temporary) villain, and an arguably Jackass decision. Please remember to use Spoiler tags where necessary.
We learn more this week about the forces behind Miracle Day, though the revelations pose new mysteries of their own. Flaws in the series, however, have grown and, despite some good moments, this episode left me disappointed.
As Miracle Day continues, Oswald Danes takes to the airwaves, a mysterious red-haired woman plots, and the CIA brings Torchwood to America—but those who want them dead have a very long reach….

Torchwood begins again with Miracle Day, a season long exploration of the consequences when death abandons the human race. If the first episode is any indication, this may be the best non-print SF of the year.
