Warner to provide on-demand DVDs

By making the DVDs only when the movies are ordered by a customer, Warner doesn’t have to worry about filling up a warehouse with inventory that struggles to sell.

The prices are pretty reasonable too—$15 for downloads and $20 for actual DVDs. Genre titles are included on the list, including the 1975 “Doc Savage: The Man Of Bronze,” which adapted one of the heroes that served as an archetype for both Superman and Batman.

Weekly Digital Disc Picks – March 24, 2009

Amazon.com’s “New Releases” page, where I get my source data, seems to be down, showing only up to the March 10 release date. I used the list from “Amazon.ca” instead. As such, I may have missed a couple of titles that come out on different schedules on different sides of the borders, and some of the ASIN numbers used to build links may be off. (I checked most of them, but I’m not sure I checked them all.) If you get a dead link, let me know and I’ll fix it.
